This allowed for a direct connection without the need for external trunking or visible cabling, maintaining a clean and uncluttered exterior appearance.

This job involved installing a new exterior double socket on the outside wall of the property. The socket was strategically positioned to align with an existing internal socket in the lounge, allowing for a direct connection without the need for external trunking or visible cabling on the outside wall.

Key aspects of the work included:

  1. Selecting a suitable weatherproof outdoor socket unit to ensure protection against the elements.
  2. Carefully drilling through the exterior brick wall to connect the new socket directly to the existing indoor wiring, eliminating the need for external cable runs.
  3. Mounting the grey plastic socket box securely to the brick wall, ensuring it’s level and properly sealed to prevent water ingress.
  4. Wiring the new socket, taking care to maintain proper connections and adhere to all relevant electrical safety standards.
  5. Testing the new installation to confirm proper function and safety.
  6. Clearing the work area and disposing of any debris.

This addition provides convenient outdoor electrical access for the homeowner, while maintaining a clean, uncluttered exterior appearance without visible cabling.
