Janet’s Project – Lighting Replacements

Our latest Positive Connections project was truly about illuminating lives, not just homes.

Our latest Positive Connections project has truly lit up someone’s life. As part of our commitment to giving back to the community, we’ve just completed a free lighting upgrade for an elderly resident.

We swapped out an old kitchen batten light for a sleek, modern 4 Light Spotlight. This new fixture not only brightens up the space but makes everyday tasks so much easier. While we were there, we also had a look at the outdoor floodlight, making sure the whole home was properly illuminated.

It’s projects like these that remind us why we started Positive Connections. We’re not just about fixing electrical issues; we’re about bringing light into people’s lives in more ways than one.

But don’t take our word for it. Here’s what our Janet’s daughter had to say:

Wave Electrical made me feel as if we had invited the proverbial breath of fresh air into the house. They provided not only what we needed successfully and seamlessly but also something that some days feels missing to me: their time and presence to ensure that the job was done right, with care and thoroughness. From the initial call until the work was completed, we felt their focus and mannerly way of handling our needs.

I’ve saved perhaps the best for last. In the course of conversation with the owner of the company, I happened to mention that I was calling on behalf of my mother who needed the lights replacing not just for the kitchen but for outside as well, as she was struggling to see her way now that she’s getting on a bit. To this, the man offered to do the work for free for her, given her age and that his company likes to support the community in this way by offering their service free of charge.

Some might say that it begs belief, and it does… It begs that we believe in goodness for goodness’s sake: that people still do for others because they can and not always with an ulterior motive. My mother is delighted with her kitchen lighting and the bright outside light, and I have a feeling that she is just as much delighted by Wave Electrical’s illustration of how kind people can be.

Feedback like this warms our hearts and fuels our passion for what we do. If you know an elderly or vulnerable person who could benefit from our Positive Connections initiative, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to brighten up lives, one home at a time.
