Mike’s Project – Tripping Electrics

Mike gave us a call in a bit of a panic.

Mike gave us a call in a bit of a panic. The sockets at his parents home in Newquay had tripped and they were left without power, and had no idea how to fix it. That’s where we stepped in, thanks to our Positive Connections initiative for the elderly, vulnerable, or people in need.

We managed to get their sockets back up and running just in time for the second half of the FA Cup final. Mike’s parents, who are both in their 90s and still passionate football fans, were over the moon to catch the rest of the match.

If you know someone, elderly or vulnerable, who needs a few things sorted around their home, please let us know. We will try to include them in next month’s projects. It’s our way of giving back to the community, so it’s all completely free, including labour and materials.
