When we first stepped into the bedroom at the top of the stairs, we could see the potential straightaway. The bare wall at the foot of the bed was crying out for a sleek, wall-mounted telly. But first things first – we needed to sort out the electrics.

We started by running a new circuit from an existing socket, carefully threading it through the stud walls. It’s a bit like threading a needle, but on a much larger scale! We’re always mindful of the bigger picture, so we made sure to patch up any holes we made. After all, we didn’t want to leave the decorator with too much work.

Next up was the aerial situation. Luckily, there was already one tucked away in the loft. We ran a co-ax cable from there down to our new TV point, ensuring crystal-clear reception for all those footy matches and favourite shows.

But we didn’t stop there. While we were up in the loft, we thought, “Why not add a bit more convenience?” So we installed an additional double socket outlet up there too. You never know when you might need to plug in some Christmas decorations or power up the odd gadget.

The result? A bedroom that’s not just a place to sleep, but a proper little entertainment centre. We reckon our client’s son will be over the moon with his new setup. It’s amazing how a few well-placed sockets and a TV point can transform a space.
