This residential electrical project showcased our expertise in modern lighting solutions, focusing on the sophisticated installation of recessed downlights across several key areas of the home. The primary focus was creating an intelligent lighting scheme that would both modernise the property and provide practical, efficient illumination.

The entrance hall presented an interesting challenge, requiring careful consideration for optimal light placement. We installed six recessed downlights, implementing a three-way switching system that allows for convenient control from multiple locations. This thoughtful arrangement enables residents to operate the lighting from the main entrance, the kitchen threshold, and the bottom of the stairwell, ensuring practical functionality for everyday use.

In the ground floor bedroom, we implemented a focused lighting solution with four recessed downlights, controlled by a single switch at the room’s entrance. This installation provides even illumination throughout the space while maintaining a clean, contemporary aesthetic that complements the room’s design.

The living room required a different approach, where we consolidated the existing lighting circuit to create a unified system. By combining the control of all light fittings into a single one-way switch at the room’s entrance, we simplified the user experience while maintaining the room’s lighting effectiveness.

Throughout the installation process, we paid careful attention to the property’s structure, particularly when routing the necessary cabling. Where required, we created channels in masonry walls, ensuring all wiring was properly concealed. These channels were professionally filled with bonding coat plaster, preparing the surface for subsequent finishing work.

Our installation adhered to strict electrical regulations and safety standards, incorporating proper circuit protection and cable sizing. We used high-quality materials throughout, ensuring longevity and reliable performance.
