The aim of this project was to update the electrical system in a catering facility to support additional kitchen equipment and improve overall lighting.

Installation of Additional Sockets:

We added two new double socket outlets to power a gas hot plate, a 1500W bain-marie, and two fridges, ensuring these appliances had the necessary power supply.

Lighting Upgrade:

The existing light fixture was connected to the main socket circuit to enhance lighting in the area. A new light switch was installed near the entrance for easy access and control.

Safety Enhancements:

The electrical system was connected to a pre-existing 16A supply point, with a new 20A safety switch installed at a reachable location to quickly disconnect power in case of an emergency.

Testing the Installations:

After installation, tests were conducted to ensure that all new setups were working correctly.

Final Inspection:

A final check was done to confirm everything was up to standard before the system was handed over to the facility management.

Outcome:

This project enhanced the electrical capacity of the catering facility, allowing for better appliance support and improved lighting, with added safety features for emergency power disconnection. These updates facilitated smoother operations in the kitchen area.
