Transforming an unused garage into a lovely 'snug' room
Martin approached us to complete the wiring of his converted garage, off the back of a recommendation. The plan was to create a separate ‘snug’ room, to provide an alternative to the open plan lounge area that already existed elsewhere in the property.
Martin was kind enough to create a plan for us, which showed exactly where he wanted the sockets, switches and light fittings. We then went ahead and began the process of transforming the drawing into a reality.
The first port of call was to assess the existing electrical system, to ensure that it was safe and compliant for us to add to. Upon a successful assessment, we liaised with the building contractor in order to come up with a plan of how best to route our cables, so as not to impede any structural components of the garage conversion.
Over the course of 2 days on site, we helped transform the once unused garage space into what is now a highly valued area of our clients home.
