This residential electrical project in Padstow combined the installation of a dedicated hot tub power supply with sophisticated garden lighting, creating a versatile outdoor living space for year-round enjoyment.
When designing outdoor electrical systems, safety and functionality must work in perfect harmony. For this Padstow property, we implemented a comprehensive electrical solution that transformed the garden into an inviting space for relaxation and entertainment. The project centred around installing a robust 16-amp power supply for a hot tub, complete with a rotary isolator to meet all safety requirements and regulations.
The lighting scheme required careful planning to maximise both aesthetics and practicality. We installed eleven fence-mounted light fittings, strategically positioned to create balanced illumination throughout the garden space. The installation utilised steel wire armoured (SWA) cabling, which provides superior protection against mechanical damage and is ideal for outdoor applications. This cabling was thoughtfully concealed within the flower beds and fence lining, maintaining the garden’s clean, uncluttered appearance.
To optimise energy efficiency and convenience, we incorporated an automated lighting control system using a timed photocell sensor. This intelligent addition ensures the lights activate automatically as natural light fades, creating perfect ambiance without any manual intervention. The system provides reliable, consistent operation throughout the changing seasons while helping to manage energy consumption effectively.
