Our electrical installation project at Newquay AFC focused on modernising the spectator stand's lighting and power infrastructure, bringing improved safety and reliability to this well-loved football ground.
Working closely with Newquay AFC, we’ve completed a comprehensive electrical upgrade to their spectator facilities, addressing the challenges posed by recent storm damage to the existing infrastructure. The project demanded careful consideration of both safety and functionality, particularly given the public nature of the space.
Understanding the unique requirements of a football ground’s electrical system, we implemented a robust solution designed to withstand Cornwall’s sometimes challenging weather conditions. The installation incorporated high-grade IP66-rated fittings, specifically chosen for their excellent weather resistance and durability in outdoor sporting environments.
Safety formed the cornerstone of our approach, with the integration of RCBO circuit breakers providing enhanced protection against electric shock – a crucial consideration for areas accessed by spectators. We’ve housed all electrical cabling within PVC conduit, adding an extra layer of mechanical protection that significantly improves the system’s longevity and reliability.
The lighting installation required particular attention to positioning, with careful placement at appropriate heights to provide optimal illumination without impacting spectator visibility or comfort. This careful balance between practical functionality and user experience showcases our understanding of sporting facility requirements.
The new electrical infrastructure significantly improves the spectator experience at Newquay AFC, while meeting all necessary safety regulations for public spaces. Our installation provides the reliability and durability needed for Cornwall’s premier football facilities, supporting the club’s continued growth and development.
