Outdoor Electrics in St Mawgan

Our latest endeavour in St Mawgan showcased Wave Electrical Solutions’ versatility in handling diverse electrical needs for outdoor living spaces. The project began with the installation of a robust 32A/6mm armoured cable, designed to power a new log cabin and kitchen area. This involved a carefully planned route from the existing consumer unit, through interior spaces, and out through an exterior wall. We then expertly trenched the cable alongside stone steps and along a hedgerow to reach its final destination, ensuring both safety and aesthetics were maintained throughout.

The property’s patio lighting system had been giving the owners some trouble, with water ingress being the suspected culprit. Our team conducted a thorough investigation, testing the entire circuit to pinpoint areas of weakness. We then set about re-terminating all connections and housing them in waterproof enclosures. This meticulous approach not only resolved the immediate issue but also future-proofed the system against Cornwall’s sometimes challenging weather conditions.

To complete the outdoor transformation, we turned our attention to a dormant water feature. This involved installing a rotary isolator switch near the footbridge for convenient control. We then employed some creative problem-solving to conceal the pump’s cabling within the stream walls, preserving the natural aesthetics of the area. After carefully positioning the feature back into the stream, we connected the pump, bringing a delightful, bubbling ambiance back to the garden.

This project exemplifies how thoughtful electrical work can significantly enhance outdoor living spaces. By extending power to new areas, ensuring reliable lighting, and restoring decorative water elements, we’ve helped create a versatile outdoor environment.
