Professional Kitchen Electrical Installation in Newquay

A comprehensive kitchen electrical installation project showcasing our expertise in first and second fix electrical work for a modern kitchen renovation in Newquay.

Taking on a kitchen renovation requires careful planning and precise electrical work to ensure safety and functionality. This project demonstrated our commitment to delivering high-quality electrical installations that meet both regulatory requirements and practical everyday needs.

The scope of work encompassed both first and second fix electrical installations, beginning with the installation of essential circuits from the main three-phase consumer unit. We installed a robust 32-amp kitchen socket ring circuit to accommodate various countertop appliances, alongside dedicated 32-amp and 20-amp circuits for the main oven and convection oven respectively. This configuration ensures sufficient power distribution for modern kitchen appliances while maintaining electrical safety standards.

Working methodically, we routed all circuits through the ceiling void, taking care to reinstate ceiling tiles properly after installation. Understanding the importance of protecting electrical infrastructure during construction phases, we contained all pre-wired cabling within PVC oval conduit for vertical drops to kitchen outlet points. This approach safeguards the wiring during plastering work and ensures long-term durability of the installation.

The second fix phase of our work involved installing multiple electrical accessories strategically positioned throughout the kitchen space. We fitted four downlights to provide excellent task lighting, essential for food preparation and cooking activities. Nine double socket outlets were installed at counter-top height, offering convenient access to power for various kitchen appliances and ensuring flexibility in kitchen usage.

Special attention was paid to major appliance installations, with six dedicated appliance outlets complete with counter-top isolator switches. These serve essential kitchen equipment including the dishwasher, fridge, freezer, two extractor fans, and single oven. A separate hob outlet with its own counter-top isolator switch was also installed, providing safe and convenient control over the cooking area.

Throughout the project, we maintained strict adherence to current electrical regulations and safety standards. Upon completion, comprehensive electrical testing was conducted to obtain the necessary Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC). This documentation not only ensures compliance with building regulations but also provides our client with peace of mind regarding the safety and quality of their new kitchen electrical installation.

Our approach to this kitchen renovation project exemplifies our commitment to delivering professional electrical solutions that combine safety, functionality, and convenience. The result is a well-planned electrical system that supports modern kitchen requirements while maintaining high safety standards.
