In the next series of our effort to support the Newquay community, we’re excited to share the details of another impactful project from our “Positive Connections” initiative. This time, our assistance was provided to Karen, a local resident troubled by a persistent issue in her home.

The problem at hand involved a series of smoke alarms that were continuously chirping, a noise that had become a significant disturbance. Upon investigation, our our electrician Kieran identified that the root cause was old, failing batteries in the existing smoke detectors. We replaced these outdated units with modern smoke detectors equipped with integrated rechargeable batteries, effectively resolving the issue and restoring peace to Karen’s home.

This project was made possible thanks to Karen’s brother Tom, who nominated her for our community assistance. It’s through such thoughtful nominations that we can reach those who truly need our help.

Looking ahead, we are eager to continue our work and are currently seeking nominations for next month’s project.
