A follow-up to one of our most unusual Positive Connections jobs. During our original visit to Sally's dolls house in Goonhavern, Charlie identified a wall sconce fitting that needed replacing — but sourcing a miniature replacement took some doing. Now we're back, fitting in hand, to finish what we started. Because that's how Positive Connections works — we see things through properly, however long it takes, and always free of charge.
Sometimes sorting a problem properly takes a bit of patience. During our original visit to Sally’s, Charlie identified that one of the tiny wall sconces in the main bedroom needed more than a quick fix — the fitting itself had to be replaced. Finding a miniature light fitting that’s the right match isn’t exactly a trip to the local hardware shop, so it took a while to track one down. But we got there, and we’re back.
Charlie returned to Goonhavern to fit the replacement, free of charge as always under our Positive Connections initiative. As you can see from the photos, both sconces are now casting that warm glow either side of the ornate bed — exactly as they should be. Worth the wait, we’d say.
That’s what Positive Connections is really about. Not just the one-off visit, but seeing something through properly, however long it takes, without Sally ever having to worry about the cost. A tiny fitting, maybe, but nobody should have to sit looking at a room that’s half in shadow when we can do something about it.
