We’ve just completed an exciting project that’s brought a new level of convenience to a family home in Truro. Our team took on a variety of electrical improvements, each designed to enhance daily living and introduce modern touches to different areas of the house.

In the living room, we’ve cleverly extended power from the kitchen, discreetly routing it behind the appliance unit to install a new double socket. It’s now ideally positioned near the doorway, providing easy access for charging devices or plugging in lamps without the eyesore of cables stretching across the floor.

The bedrooms received a tech-friendly upgrade too. Each room now features two new USB double socket outlets right by the bed – ideal for overnight phone charging or powering bedside gadgets. This part of the job required a bit of ingenuity, as we needed to lift carpets to route cables through the floor void. Rest assured, we took great care to replace everything neatly, leaving no visible signs of our work apart from the brilliant new sockets.

We didn’t stop there. Two existing sockets in the bedrooms were also upgraded, replaced with USB-enabled versions. It’s remarkable how such a seemingly small change can make charging multiple devices so much more straightforward.

The garden wasn’t left out of our improvements. We extended power from the utility room to accommodate a new pond pump. This involved some precise exterior work, running armoured cabling along the utility room’s outer wall. We’ve fitted a weatherproof isolator switch for safety, and installed a double socket outlet near the waterfall site. This setup is now ready for pond specialists to connect their equipment and create a stunning water feature.

Throughout the project, we prioritised neat, unobtrusive installations that blend seamlessly with the home’s existing décor. It’s been fantastic to see how these electrical upgrades have not only improved functionality but also added a touch of modern living to each space.
