We recently completed a series of state-of-the-art electrical upgrades in a holiday let flat, focusing on enhancing guest comfort and operational efficiency through smart technology and rigorous safety enhancements.
We successfully completed an extensive electrical upgrade in a holiday let flat, aimed at enhancing both the efficiency and safety of the property while ensuring a superior guest experience. Our skilled team of electricians brought their detailed expertise to this project, implementing several modern solutions that elevate the property’s functionality and compliance with current regulations.
The upgrade began with the installation of a new Hotpoint Electric Ceramic Hob, celebrated for its energy efficiency and sleek design. This hob was seamlessly integrated into the kitchen, updating the space without disrupting its aesthetic appeal and offering guests enhanced cooking facilities.
In addition to kitchen improvements, we installed a Smart WiFi Immersion Heater Control. This device is crucial for energy management, allowing the landlord to remotely control the heating system via the app. This functionality enables easy adjustments to the heating schedule, such as turning it on in preparation for guests’ arrival or turning it off after their departure, ensuring the flat is always welcoming while conservatively using energy.
The heating system in the flat was significantly upgraded with the introduction of Rointe ‘D-Series’ Smart Wifi Electric Radiators in both the living room and bedroom. These innovative radiators can be controlled remotely via their dedicated mobile app, allowing the landlord to set the ideal temperature for incoming guests or reduce the settings when the flat is unoccupied, enhancing comfort while optimising energy usage.
A luxurious addition to the bathroom was the installation of a Rointe Wifi Heated Towel Rail. This sophisticated fixture not only enhances the guest experience by providing warm, dry towels on demand but also offers remote control functionality. This allows the landlord to ensure that the towel rail is only active when needed, thus managing energy use effectively and adding a touch of luxury that guests can appreciate.
A significant component of this project was the Holiday-let Fire Alarm Regulation Compliance Upgrade. We installed two state-of-the-art, 230V mains-powered, and hard-wired interlinked smoke alarms. One unit features a multi-sensor that detects both smoke and heat in the kitchen/living area, and another standard smoke alarm is located in the bedroom. Both alarms are equipped with lithium rechargeable back-up batteries, preventing the inconvenience of low-battery alerts. The system’s interconnected nature means any detection of danger triggers alarms throughout the property, enhancing overall safety. This setup allows the landlord to monitor and maintain the alarms remotely, ensuring they are always functional and reset before new guests arrive.
Additionally, an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) was performed to ensure that all electrical installations adhere to the stringent safety standards required for properties in the rental market. This assessment is critical in maintaining the safety and compliance of the holiday let, providing peace of mind to both the landlord and guests.
The execution of this project was carried out with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring minimal disruption during the upgrades. Any necessary structural adjustments, such as the routing of cables or drilling for installations, were handled with care and finished to a high standard, ready for any final touches.
Through this upgrade, the flat’s electrical systems have been brought up to date with the latest technologies, providing a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for guests. This project not only boosts the property’s appeal but also ensures that the landlord can manage the property efficiently, enhancing guest experiences while adhering to energy conservation and safety regulations.
