We recently completed a project to install a MyEnergi Zappi untethered 7.4kW EV charge point at the side of a property. The goal was to provide a convenient and efficient charging solution for the client’s electric vehicle.

The charge point was installed using an existing 40A circuit breaker that was previously used for a redundant shower, making the most of the existing electrical infrastructure. The supply cable was carefully routed through the existing electrical cabinet and along the exterior wall at a low level, ensuring a neat and unobtrusive setup.

To maximise driveway space and ensure easy vehicle access, the charge point was strategically positioned at the far end of the driveway. This placement not only keeps the charge point out of the way but also provides a convenient charging spot for the vehicle.

Once the installation was complete, we conducted thorough electrical testing to produce the necessary Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC). Additionally, we handled the Building Control notification to ensure everything was up to code. The charge point was then programmed and commissioned, ready for immediate use.

Overall, the project was completed smoothly, providing the client with a reliable and efficient EV charging solution that seamlessly integrates with their property.
