Kitchen Extractor Installation in Padstow

Installing a stunning brass extractor fan in this Padstow kitchen, where practical ventilation meets eye-catching design.

When our client in Padstow reached out about fitting their new extractor fan, we knew this wasn’t going to be your average installation. They’d chosen a beautiful aged brass unit that would become a real talking point in their kitchen, sitting perfectly against their marble-effect splashback.

Getting everything right meant careful planning from the start. We worked out the best spot for the extractor, making sure it would work brilliantly while looking its best. This meant thinking about how to run the ducting efficiently and where exactly to place the core hole in the external wall.

The 4-inch core hole needed to be spot on – there’s no room for mistakes when you’re cutting through walls. We fitted the exterior grill plate neatly, making sure everything was properly sealed and weatherproof. The whole installation had to be precise, especially with the beautiful brass wall lights going in on either side of the extractor.

What makes this project particularly interesting is how the extractor becomes part of the kitchen’s overall look. The aged brass finish matches perfectly with the other metalwork in the kitchen, creating a really coordinated feel. The lighting setup we installed either side adds both practicality and atmosphere, giving the cooking area proper task lighting while adding to the overall ambiance.

The finished setup does exactly what it needs to – keeps the kitchen fresh and free from cooking smells – but it does it with style. It’s a great example of how a practical kitchen kit can be both functional and good-looking. The extractor works brilliantly at clearing the air while the brass finish catches the eye and adds character to the space.
