Need reliable 3-phase power for your business?

3-Phase Power & Industrial Electrics

When your business depends on heavy machinery, 3-phase power isn’t a luxury — it’s what keeps everything running. Whether you’re connecting new plant to an existing supply, upgrading a workshop’s distribution board, or bringing a site up to full 3-phase capacity, we’ve got the hands-on experience to do it properly. We work methodically and communicate clearly, taking the technical complexity out of the process so you always know what’s happening and why.

Kept Informed, Every Step

Industrial electrical work comes with a fair bit of technical detail — load calculations, phase balancing, protective device ratings, cable specifications — and we know that what most business owners actually want is clear, no-nonsense communication rather than a rundown of engineering theory. From your first enquiry through to the moment we hand over the certification, you'll be kept fully up to date in plain, straightforward language. Costs and timelines are confirmed upfront, and if anything changes during the job, you'll hear about it straight away rather than after the fact.

The Right Kit, Done Properly

When it comes to 3-phase and industrial electrical work, getting the specification right matters more than you might think — undersized cabling, incorrect protection, or a distribution board pushed past its rated capacity are the kind of mistakes that only show themselves once the machinery is running under full load. We specify everything correctly for the demands of the job, install to BS standards, and back our workmanship with solid warranties. Pricing is laid out clearly from the start, with nothing extra appearing once the work is underway.

Experience That Fits the Job

Three-phase and industrial electrical installations demand a level of care and knowledge that goes beyond most standard commercial work. Our team has genuine, hands-on experience with high-demand installations — multi-phase distribution board upgrades, heavy plant machinery hookups, workshop rewires, and motor circuit work — and we approach every job with the technical rigour that kind of work requires. We're NAPIT approved and fully insured, so you can be confident the installation meets the standards that matter for your business, your staff, and your insurance.

On Time, With Minimum Fuss

In a production or manufacturing environment, downtime costs real money, and we plan every industrial installation with that firmly in mind. We work around your operating hours wherever possible, coordinate any necessary power outages to reduce their impact, and keep the job moving without unnecessary gaps between visits. From the initial site survey right through to final testing and handover, the whole process is managed properly — you'll always know where things stand, and you won't be left chasing updates while the next stage sits waiting to begin.

Top Questions & Answers

Here are the top questions we’re frequently asked about 3-phase power installations…

Three-phase power delivers electricity across three separate conductors at once, which makes it far more efficient for running high-demand equipment than a standard single-phase supply. If your business relies on heavy electric motors, industrial compressors, CNC machinery, arc welding equipment, or significant commercial refrigeration, there’s a strong chance 3-phase either already makes sense or would make a noticeable difference to how your electrical system holds up under load. We’ll assess your setup honestly and advise whether an upgrade would genuinely benefit your operation.

Yes, in most cases. If a 3-phase supply is already on-site, connecting new plant or machinery generally comes down to checking that the existing distribution board has sufficient spare capacity and that the correct cable sizing and protection devices are in place for the new circuit. We carry out a thorough check of your current installation before work begins so we can identify any shortfalls at that stage – it’s far better to deal with those before the machinery arrives than after it’s already in position.

It really depends on the scope. A single machinery hookup on an existing supply can often be completed in a day, whereas a full distribution board upgrade or a new 3-phase supply installation at a larger premises might take several days. We’ll give you a realistic timeframe during the site survey and keep you updated if anything changes that estimate once the work is underway.

Yes – all electrical work of this nature must comply with BS (the IET Wiring Regulations) and be properly documented on completion. We provide a full Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) once the job’s done, and where notification to building control is required, we handle that through our NAPIT registration so you don’t have to deal with the compliance side of things yourself.

We always try to plan the more disruptive parts of the installation – particularly any periods where the supply needs to be isolated – outside of your core hours. It’s one of the first things we discuss during the site survey, so we can factor your schedule into the project plan from the outset rather than trying to accommodate it as an afterthought.

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY

Our 3-Phase Installation Process

BEFORE

Site Survey We visit your site to assess existing power demands, infrastructure layout, and what the new installation needs to achieve.

Load Review Your current supply capacity and machinery requirements are carefully reviewed to make sure the proposed system is correctly specified.

Fixed Dates We agree start dates that work around your operations, scheduling any power outages to cause the least possible disruption.

DURING

Cable Works Heavy-duty cabling is installed to the correct rating along agreed routes, with the working environment kept clean and tidy throughout.

Board Feeds Distribution boards are upgraded or installed to handle the full 3-phase load, with all circuits correctly labelled and protected.

Hookup Work Each piece of plant is connected in sequence, with phase rotation confirmed and load balance verified before we move on.

AFTER

Test & Sign All circuits are tested to BS 7671 standards and a full Electrical Installation Certificate is issued before commissioning begins.

Show & Tell We walk your team through the completed installation, covering how the system works and what to look out for going forward.

Our Support We’re here after the job’s done for any queries, changes, or additions – easy to reach when you need us.
