Electrical Upgrades in Launceston: Outbuilding Power Supply, Lighting & Home Improvements

A Launceston property required a range of electrical improvements across the home and a detached outbuilding. Work included a new 32A sub-main supply to the outbuilding with a dedicated consumer unit, interior power and lighting, a bathroom extractor fan upgrade to an inline loft-mounted unit, exterior PIR flood light installation, and living room wall light alterations.

Consumer Unit Relocation and Replacement in Newquay

June 2026

A full consumer unit relocation and replacement carried out at a residential property in Newquay. The old board was repositioned to eye level and replaced with a 21-way RCBO consumer unit featuring integrated surge protection. Meter tails were upgraded, circuits extended, and an Electrical Installation Certificate issued on completion.

LED Panel Light Installation & Electrical Upgrades in Shortlanesend

June 2026

Wave Electrical Solutions carried out a full lighting upgrade and series of electrical improvements at a commercial premises in Shortlanesend, Cornwall. Old fluorescent fittings were replaced with surface-mounted LED panel lights, alongside a boiler supply relocation and an IP-rated socket installation near the sink area.

Residential Electrical Works in Roche – EICR, Floodlight, Doorbell & Heater Switch Replacement

June 2026

A residential property in Roche received a full electrical condition report alongside several practical upgrades – a new PIR floodlight above the garage, a wired doorbell system, and a replacement fused spur for the porch plinth heater. All work was completed to current wiring regulations.

Ohme ePod EV Charger Installation – Saltash

June 2026

A 7.4kW Ohme ePod untethered EV charge point installed on the exterior of a residential garage in Saltash, complete with a dedicated RCBO consumer unit, surge protection, and load monitoring to keep the property’s electrical supply balanced.

Kitchen Socket and Isolator Switch Replacement – Lanreath, Near Looe

June 2026

Counter top double socket outlets and a 45a cooker isolator switch replaced at a residential property in Lanreath, near Looe – addressing a compatibility issue with the existing metal back box and restoring the kitchen electrics to a safe, serviceable condition.

EICR Remedial Works – Consumer Unit Replacement & Electrical Safety Repairs, Wadebridge

June 2026

Following an Electrical Installation Condition Report at a residential property in Wadebridge, Wave Electrical Solutions carried out a full programme of remedial works. Two ageing consumer units were replaced with modern RCBO units featuring integrated surge protection, alongside a range of safety-critical repairs including smoke alarm replacement, lighting circuit fault rectification, and the decommissioning of non-compliant bathroom electrical installations.

Consumer Unit Replacement and EICR Remedial Works, Bodmin

June 2026

A FuseBox 15-way RCBO consumer unit with integrated surge protection was installed at a domestic property in Bodmin, following an EICR that identified several observations requiring attention. Alongside the new board, an earth fault on the sockets ring circuit was traced and rectified, with upgraded meter tails fitted and a satisfactory EICR issued on completion.

Induction Hob Connection, Garage Sockets & Garden Festoon Lighting in Lostwithiel

June 2026

A return visit to a property in Lostwithiel to carry out a second phase of electrical works – connecting a client-supplied induction hob to an existing 32a dedicated circuit, adding surface-mounted double sockets in the garage, upgrading the towel rail fused spur to a decorative switch fused connection unit, rewiring garden festoon lighting into a weatherproof connection housing, and swapping a plain single gang switch for a polished chrome finish.

Under-Cabinet LED Lighting Installation in Liskeard

June 2026

A kitchen in Liskeard gained much-needed task lighting with the installation of two LED cabinet lights, fitted neatly beneath the wall units. Clean, practical, and properly wired – a small job that makes a real difference day to day.

Consumer Unit Replacement & Water Misting System Supply – Mevagissey

June 2026

A residential consumer unit replacement in Mevagissey – an outdated board swapped for a fire-rated FuseBox 15-way RCBO unit with integrated surge protection, meter tails upgraded, fire-rated cabling installed, and a new 20A circuit added for a water misting system. Completed at short notice with an Electrical Installation Certificate issued on completion.

Exterior Light Replacement in St Austell

June 2026

Wave Electrical Solutions replaced two exterior light fittings at a residential property in St Austell, fitting client-supplied PIR sensor units to the outside of the building. A straightforward swap carried out safely and to a clean finish.
